Ray Crawford

Crawford joined Ipswich Town coming from Portsmouth in 1958 and soon became a vital member of the Ipswich first team. He helped Ipswich win the second division in 1960 and then helped the club win the league championship in 1961. He had a stunning strike rate at Ipswich Town, scoring an incredible 143 goals in only 197 appearances for the club. After moving to Wolves in 1963, he came back to Portman Road, playing for Ipswich in a second spell in 1965 and made another 123 appearances for the club, scoring a prolific 61 goals. He also played for the England national team, however surprisingly made only few appearances.

Ted Phillips

Phillips is Ipswich Town’s second top goal scorer of all time as he scored more than 150 goals in 250 appearances for the club between 1953 and 1964. His finest campaign playing for Ipswich Town was the 1956 – 1957 season as he scored an incredible  46 goals, the most ever scored in a single season by an Ipswich football player. He later on played for Leyton Orient, Luton town and Colchester.
